After initial maturation in oak, the whisky receives a secondary finish of approximately 8 months in ex-Amarone casks. The result is a rich, layered dram with both Arran\u2019s malty sweetness and Amarone\u2019s intense fruit character.<\/p>\n
Visually, the whisky exhibits a deep copper tone hinting at its wine influence. On the nose, expect prominent notes of cherries, cranberries, dried figs, honey, toffee, chocolate and a hint of warm spice.<\/p>\n
