Double Cask is a new addition to the Ferrand Cognac portfolio. It is partially aged in Pedro Xim\u00e9nez sherry casks \u2013 a rarity in the world of Cognac, to say the least \u2013 but the result speaks for itself. Double Cask has quickly become one of our favorites from Ferrand!<\/p>\n
This is a blend of several cognacs of different ages \u2013 most between 7 and 10 years old, but it also includes spirit up to 20 years of age. The older cognac adds depth and complexity, and even a small proportion goes a long way in the blend.<\/p>\n
It is also bottled at a slightly higher strength: 42.3%.<\/p>\n
Color: Amber
\nNose: Fruit takes center stage, with notes of caramel, spice, leather, fresh fruit and dried fruits like raisin, fig, and prune. A true pleasure to linger over.
\nPalate: Wonderfully sweet, round and soft. Warming spices, walnut, chocolate, nougat and plenty of raisin.<\/p>\n
