This Yamazaki Mizunara Single Malt consists of carefully selected malt whiskeys, all of which have been aged exclusively in Mizunara casks for a minimum of 18 years. <\/p>\n
It was created to honor the centenary of the House of Suntory. At the first tasting, it was noted that the young liquid in the Mizunara cask had a dominant flavor and aroma. While aging through the four distinctive seasons of Japan and the land of Yamazaki, the determined blenders of the past found a balance between aging and harmonious blending that tempered the force of the Mizunara character. <\/p>\n
The whiskeys are now matured until they can acquire the characteristic Japanese spiciness and the incense-like aroma of sandalwood and agarwood.<\/p>\n

Colour: Reddish amber<\/p>\n
Nose: Rich and elegant top notes of dark cherry and ripe peach, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg <\/p>\n
Palate: Subtle spiciness with undertones of Japanese incense <\/p>\n
Finish: Long and lingering, accented with clove, sandalwood and hints of dried coconut<\/p>\n
