Tomatin Distillery \u2013 A Highland distillery that, back in the 1970s, was Scotland\u2019s largest, with a total of 23 stills in operation. Their motto was “Largest!” In 1984, a struggling Tomatin was purchased by Japanese investors, who embarked on a transformation mission: from “Largest” to “Best!”<\/p>\n
Today, Tomatin releases a wide range of whiskies, selling in over 50 international markets \u2013 the mission from largest to best is well on its way to success!<\/p>\n
Tomatin Cask Strength is a blend of whisky from ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks \u2013 the aroma is best described as “breakfast in a glass!”<\/p>\n
Released in April 2014, this is the first Cask Strength whisky to be included in Tomatin\u2019s standard range. It showcases Tomatin in its purest form \u2013 natural color, non-chill filtered, and undiluted.<\/p>\n
Aroma
\nSpicy with notes of orange, pear, and walnut.<\/p>\n
Taste
\nMarzipan, burnt sugar, roasted malt, chestnuts, leather, and vanilla \u2013 spicy, sweet, and full of flavor.<\/p>\n
Finish
\nDry and long, with lovely malt and bold spices.<\/p>\n
