DICTADOR TWO MASTERS RUM 42% Leclerc Briant 1977 is produced in a collaboration between Herv\u00e9 Jestin, Master Champagne Maker at Leclerc-Briant, who we know from, among others, Abyss, La Croisette and others, and Hernan Parra, Master Blender at Dictador.<\/p>\n
The rum is aged primarily at Dictador in Columbia, but also at Leclerc-Briant in French oak, a so-called chauffe l\u00e9g\u00e8re cask \u2013 lightly heated cask \u2013 for a full 36 months. Only 313 bottles were produced in total, numbered 1-313.<\/p>\n
On the nose there are notes of white flowers, anise and apricot as well as fresh lemon peel and crushed almonds. You also find a little licorice, cassia bark and vanilla, as well as nuances that remind you of butter-fried pancakes. In the mouth there are notes of forest floor and sweet orange as well as a creamy note that is helped along by hints of lavender. There is really a lot going on in the rum, where the finish is nicely rounded off with a little pink pepper, tropical fruits (mango and papaya) and a little vanilla, which makes the rum a real wonder. Extremely nice room.<\/p>\n
Really nice Two Masters room. With a gem like Leclerc-Briant at one end and Dictador at the other, it’s a shame we couldn’t get more to the country. Very few bottles have found their way to Denmark…<\/p>\n
