The secret behind the award-winning taste of Whyte & Mackay is our triple maturation process and the way we blend to make sure no single whisky dominates another, creating a harmony of flavours that work together to produce our famous smoother, richer taste.<\/p>\n
Nose: Smooth with warm appealing highlights of marzipan, Manuka honey, creamy caramel and Demerara sugar, followed by whispers of glazed pineapple, cider apples and praline chocolate.<\/p>\n
Palate: It begins with mellow and exhilarating flavours of tropical fruits, rose hip syrup, caramelized orange segments and macaroons.<\/p>\n
Finish: peaches in syrup, liquorice and Seville marmalade.<\/p>\n
Stage 1: The finest malt & grain whiskies, matured for many years, are carefully selected by our Master Blender.<\/p>\n
Stage 2: Next, they are each combined in sherry casks and matured once again.<\/p>\n
Stage 3: Finally the aged malts & grains are blended and returned to cask one final time to attain a perfect harmony of flavours.<\/p>\n
This dedication to the art of blending creates an extra smooth and richer tasting whisky.<\/p>\n
