On the occasion of Fan\u00f8 Skibsrom’s founder Lars J. Schou’s upcoming 80th birthday, as a tribute we have made a new Fan\u00f8 Skibsrom, which is seasoned and aged just as he would have wanted it. It is of course called the Captain.<\/p>\n
It has been a long time coming and has aged a total of 5 years in oak casks. It has an alcohol percentage of 43% and the taste notes are complex and rich with notes of wood, tobacco and a little sweetness.<\/p>\n
Distilled in Jamaica and subsequently refined on Fan\u00f8. The processing consists of a two-stage storage. First, the rum is aged with natural flavorings (including Fan\u00f8 heather honey, sea buckthorn and Madagascar vanilla). It is then stored in port casks.<\/p>\n
We have already bottled the first bottles. Our first batch\/production is a total of 929 bottles.<\/p>\n
