Tio Pepe is a dry, elegant and wonderful “Fino” sherry, which is the type designation for a very dry sherry from southern Spain. Dry, delicate and fine taste, with a straw yellow color and an elegant but characteristic floral scent. Should always be served ice cold.<\/p>\n
The perfect aperitif or as an accompaniment to fish or shellfish. Tio Pepe is made only from the Palomino grape, grown in very calcareous soil in the best vineyards.<\/p>\n
Will be aged in American oak barrels.<\/p>\n
The history of Tio Pepe Sherry dates back to 1835, when Manuel Maria Gonzalez, an ambitious 23-year-old, enlisted the help of his uncle Jos\u00e9 Angel de la Pena, known as Pepe, to produce a sherry and start the company that later became Gonzalez Byass.<\/p>\n
