The “Secretary bird” is excellent value for money from the Western Cape in South Africa, where the winemaker, Robin Naylor, while inspecting the vineyards, found a secretary bird wandering around between the vines and decided that the wine from these juicy grapes should be called “Secretary Bird”.<\/p>\n
The grapes from this coastal area, with the positive influence and cooling of the sea, are harvested early in the morning and brought immediately afterwards to the winery for pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks.<\/p>\n
The raw material for this fresh ros\u00e9 comes from old cinsault “bush vines” vines, i.e. grown free-standing without binding.<\/p>\n
Secretary Bird Ros\u00e9 is a juicy and fruity ros\u00e9 from hand-harvested grapes with an intense nose of red berries (raspberries and strawberries) with a light floral spice. Predominantly dry, but with a beguiling fruity sweetness.<\/p>\n
