Longrow 21 Years Old is a smoked single malt whiskey from Campbeltown in Scotland. This release of Longrow is particularly sought after, as it is the first time in time immemorial that Springbank has released a Longrow older than 18 years to the world market. Longrow makes up only 10% of Springbank’s total production and the stock of old Longrow is quite small! This is the 2022 edition, aged on an exciting combination of 30% bourbon, 60% sherry and 10% chardonnay. An intense 48 hour peat drying process and double distillation give this Longrow Range a much stronger peaty and oily character! A delicate, creamy dram with notes of raspberry, caramelized butter and lingering peat smoke.<\/p>\n
Colour: Amber.
\nNose: A soft peat influence introduces this dram, reminiscent of smoked clams and cured meat, balanced with sweet notes of apricot and peach.
\nPalate: The peaty influence becomes more robust on the palate while retaining the coastal characteristics typical of Longrow, with notes of seaweed and samphire coming through. A light sweetness with notes of soft, ripe berries.<\/p>\n
