\nEl Tequile\u00f1o Reposado Gran Reserva has aged a minimum of 8 months in American oak barrels, and has subsequently been mixed with a small amount of a\u00f1ejo tequila aged in American oak barrels. Its rich agave flavor can be enjoyed on its own or (for the daring cocktail enthusiast) mixed together in a cocktail to your heart’s content. The spirit is made from 100% blue agave.<\/p>\n
El Tequile\u00f1o Reposado Gran Reserva is a so-called reposado tequila, and has thus been aged in casks for a period between 2 months and up to 1 year. Reposado tequila has most often taken on different characteristics from the casks in which it is placed, and the agave flavor is thus complimented by earthy and woody notes.<\/p>\n

About El Tequileno
\nTequile\u00f1o is one of the most highly respected and popular premium tequila brands in the world. And not without reason \u2013 the distillery was founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo in the city of Tequila, Mexico. The distillery took its name from the town \u2013 a name that is not entirely accidental. Because the town of Tequila is the place where the agave-based spirit was first distilled, and it is also where the drink gets its name.<\/p>\n
In addition to this historical heritage, Tequile\u00f1o is also special in that it is one of the very few tequila distilleries that releases its tequila under its own name. Normally in the tequila industry, the distilleries sell their tequila to independent bottlers, who then sell it under their own name.
