\nEl Tequile\u00f1o Cristalino Reposado is aged for four months in American oak barrels. It is made from 100% blue agave.<\/p>\n
El Tequile\u00f1o Cristalino Reposado is a so-called cristalino reposado tequila. This relatively new form of tequila has a relatively simple concept \u2013 the tequila is first aged for a period of time (and is thus a reposado or a\u00f1ejo tequila), which gives it greater flavor complexity. It is then filtered through a layer of charcoal. The carbon filtration firstly removes the color, so you get a completely glossy and clear tequila, in addition, the process also removes the often strong oak notes that aged tequila typically has. The fact that the somewhat controversial oak flavor is removed means that the other effects of the aging are allowed to emerge more clearly.<\/p>\n
Cristalino tequila has gone on to become extremely popular in its home country of Mexico, where it has particularly helped to introduce the young female segment to the world of tequila.<\/p>\n

\nTequile\u00f1o is one of the most highly respected and popular premium tequila brands in the world. And not without reason \u2013 the distillery was founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo in the city of Tequila, Mexico. The distillery took its name from the town \u2013 a name that is not entirely accidental. Because the town of Tequila is the place where the agave-based spirit was first distilled, and it is also where the drink gets its name.<\/p>\n
In addition to this historical heritage, Tequile\u00f1o is also special in that it is one of the very few tequila distilleries that releases its tequila under its own name.
