When Albert Heinrich Riise established his production in the Danish West Indies in 1838, the Danish Navy was among his first regular customers. Life at sea was tough, and a daily ration of spirits was a welcome encouragement. Officers received their ration neat \u2013 while the sailors got theirs diluted with water. This was called grog. Old St. Croix Royal Danish Navy \u2013 Navy 40% is a modern interpretation of the original navy spirit that Riise supplied to the fleet.<\/p>\n

\nRich aroma of liquorice, orange peel, coconut, papaya, eucalyptus, and mint. A hint of reduced balsamic and black tea.<\/p>\n
Taste
\nFull-bodied with a wonderful balance of citrus, fresh green notes of eucalyptus and mint, alongside deeper notes of liquorice and reduced balsamic.<\/p>\n
Finish
