Indomitas<\/strong> is the eleventh release in the collaboration between Luca Gargano of the legendary Velier and Richard Seale, owner of Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. Since the partnership began in 2016, their joint bottlings have captivated rum lovers and collectors around the world, and Indomitas is another compelling example of why.<\/p>\n

This is a single blended rum made from two rums distilled in 2010 \u2013 one in a pot still and the other in a Coffey column still \u2013 brought together in a beautifully balanced composition. The first component was matured for 15 years in ex-Bourbon casks, while the second underwent a double maturation: 6 years in ex-Bourbon casks followed by 9 years in ex-Cognac casks. Both rums were fully tropically aged, giving Indomitas its deep, structured, and expressive character.<\/p>\n

The nose opens with dried fruits and nuts, citrus zest, toasted notes, and refined oak, supported by hints of caramel and ripe stone fruit. On the palate, vanilla and coconut from the ex-Bourbon casks merge seamlessly with rounder notes of candied fruit, spiced caramel, and fine oak from the ex-Cognac casks. The finish is long and precise, with dry spices, pepper, cocoa, precious woods, and subtle roasted notes.<\/p>\n
