This ros\u00e9 is produced by Bodegas Yuntero \/ Cooperativa Jes\u00fas del Perd\u00f3n near Manzanares Membrilla (Castilla-La Mancha). Founded in 1954, the winery now sources grapes from no fewer than 102 growers, some of whom farm organically. Spain\u2019s most famous red grape, Tempranillo, has also proven to make excellent ros\u00e9 wines with plenty of aroma, juicy fruit and immediate appeal. This is precisely the grape Bodegas Yuntero uses for this ros\u00e9.<\/p>\n
After around 12 hours of skin maceration of the organically grown grapes\u2014during which the must takes on its delicate pink colour\u2014the juice is run into temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks (6\u20138\u00b0C), where it settles naturally for 48 hours. It is then fermented cool and slowly (14\u201316\u00b0C for 20 days) to enhance aroma, fruit character and crispness.<\/p>\n
Momento Rosa shows a bright strawberry-pink colour and an inviting nose of strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate. The palate is very fresh, fruit-forward and crisp, with gentle spicy notes and a pleasing structure on the finish.
