That cask selection sets the tone immediately\u2014dense dark fruit, cocoa, and warming spice, supported by an oak structure that adds grip rather than bitterness. On the nose you\u2019ll often find <strong data-start=\"2869\" data-end=\"2885\">dried fruits<\/strong> (raisins and figs), <strong data-start=\"2906\" data-end=\"2922\">cocoa powder<\/strong>, and a faint hint of <strong data-start=\"2944\" data-end=\"2964\">polished leather<\/strong>. The palate layers <strong data-start=\"2984\" data-end=\"3019\">dried fruit, chocolate and nuts<\/strong> with a rich sherry warmth and a spicy oak edge, where a touch of <strong data-start=\"3085\" data-end=\"3104\">coffee\/espresso<\/strong> can add extra definition. Its style is typically dense, oily, and strongly cask-led, with a classic malty core.
