The Teeling family has made Irish whiskey since 1782, as Walter Teeling opened his whiskey testing on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin. Dublin has traditionally been the heart of Ireland’s whiskey production. The story of Ireland’s whiskey production is incredibly exciting and dramatic and is largely linked to the country’s cohesion to England in good and evil. Whole 37 distilleries had smoke in the chimneys at the beginning of the 20th century, but one by one closed distillery and since 1976 there has been no whiskey in Dublin – so far! The Teeling Whiskey Distillery is the first newly opened distillery in Dublin for over 125 years and the Teeling family sees it as his mission to bring distillation art back to the heart of Dublin!
The tasteful whiskey comes from 3 shiny pot stills, which is named after Jack Teelings 3 daughters. 25% of production is dedicated to whiskey of experimental nature, making teeling one of the most exciting distilleries to keep an eye on in the future.
