Moët & Chandon is perhaps the world’s most famous champagne house, and has been for over 270 years. It was Jean-Remy Moët, the grandson of founder Claude Moët, who seriously introduced the world to champagne in the late 18th century. The pinnacles and celebrities of the time such as the Marquise de Pompadour, the infamous Talleyrand and even Emperor Napoleon in his own high persona fell for the house champagne. It is of course difficult to find bigger names to recommend its product than Napoleon, and since then Moët & Chandon has been almost synonymous with quality.
