Elements of Islay is a series of independently bottled whiskeys from Islay island, which is next to Scotland’s west coast and is famous and notorious for heavily smoked whiskey. The series can be known on the characteristic laboratory-like bottle and the label that is inspired by the periodic system. Each distiller is symbolized by two letters while the number shows which number drainage is involved. Thus, “AR10”, for example, the 10th drain from the distillery ardeg. The whiskeys in Elements of Islay are selected and tapped by the blender and decider Elixir Distillers, founded by the two bread sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, who also stand behind The Whiskey Exchange. With some exceptions, they are all tapped by fadan strength and without added color. There is a completely terrific diversity in the drainage that has included whiskey stored on both Sauternes-, Syrah dishes, as well as whiskey you rarely see from independent decants such as octomore, Kilchoman and even the closed distillery port Ellen.
