The building is grown in northern India and Maltes in Jaipur and Delhi before it is fermented and distilled at Amrett in Bangalore. You also use a little smoked malt imported from Scotland. The warm climate causes incredible rapid maturation and a very high evaporation, and therefore India is, so far elder whiskey “, only” 12 years old: The cunningly named Greedy Angels, which Amrut released in 2016.
