Amrut Naarangi is an Indian single malt whiskey, with a fadlagring there will probably get most shots to wrinkle on the nose – until they taste it! Amrut is a family owned distillery in Bangalore in India. Here you started making Maltwhisky already back in the 1980s. For a long time, the whiskey was only used in Blends (and by far most of the distillery’s production is actually Vodka, Gin and Rome), but in 2004, Amrut was launched as a single malt fire, initially only in Scotland and first in 2010 in India . Today, Amrut is finding on the shelves in over 40 countries, and the distillery has achieved international recognition with a sea of ​​prices and medals in the baggage.

The building is grown in northern India and Maltes in Jaipur and Delhi before it is fermented and distilled at Amrett in Bangalore. You also use a little smoked malt imported from Scotland. The warm climate causes incredible rapid maturation and a very high evaporation, and therefore India is, so far elder whiskey “, only” 12 years old: The cunningly named Greedy Angels, which Amrut released in 2016. All Amrut is tapped without cooling filtration or added dye.
