Togouchi – Pure Malt 70 CL 40%

Japanese Whisky

Light and fresh whiskey in Toguchi’s Japanese style. At the same time, it is peat-smoked in a pleasant aroma, where chocolate, ripe apricots and vanilla offer themselves to the nose. On the tongue, you also get hints of fresh cream and slightly more impressions of peat. In the aftertaste small, fine impressions of bitter cocoa and hazelnuts, while the peat slowly fades out.

Aged in bourbon and sherry casks.

About SAKURAO Brewery and Distillery
Japanese Togouchi is another example of the Kingdom of the Sun creating excellent whisky. Choguko Jozo has for many years imported malt whiskey from Scotland and grain whiskey from Canada for the various bottlings, but since 2014 has also distilled itself. The barrel aging therefore took place in Japan. They then store in an old, 361 meter long, disused railway tunnel that was never used for its original purpose. It is relatively unusual, but works, not least because the temperature is constant and cool throughout the year at around 14 degrees and with a humidity of 80%. The whiskeys are blended and then bottled.
