The World Whiskey Awards 2022 named this Wonders of Wood Single Pot Still from Teeling “World’s Best Single Pot Still”. Part of a new limited run of Dublin-distilled whiskey using unique wooden casks, with this edition using the finest virgin Chinkapin American Oak.
The first edition of Teeling’s Wonders of Wood series sees a Single Pot Still whiskey matured in the Virgin Chinkapin American White Oak Fade. Using a single pot made from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, which has been triple distilled at their Dublin distillery. The Wonders of Wood range is partnering with the Tree Council of Ireland and will help plant exclusively native Irish tree species in a designated hectare of land in the Wicklow area of Ireland. This expression is bottled at 50% ABV.
