This bottling from a Secret Speyside distillery is part of the Cask Strength Collection from independent bottler Signatory Vintage. We are informed that this extremely popular distillery has been producing single malt Scotch whiskey for almost 200 years and starts with the letter M. This release was distilled on July 11, 200 and aged for 17 years in an Oloroso butt. This was then bottled on 10 March 2023. One of 671 bottles, this was bottled at 57.% cask strength, as with all releases in the series, this is presented unchilled with no added colour.
Nose: The whiskey presents itself to the nose with fruity impressions. He brings sherry and spiced oak. Behind there are blood oranges and nuts. Pepper completes the scent.
Tasting: The Signatory Vintage Secret Speyside (M) is full on the tongue. The Scotch tastes of citrus fruits and fresh menthol. Behind is resinous wood and pepper.
Finish: The finish is long-lasting and spicy. The scotch says goodbye with notes of rye and pepper. It also leaves dried fruits and oak.
