Pitú Cachaca – Original Do Brasil 70 CL 38%

Brazilian Classic Spirit

Pitú is a Brazilian, crystal-clear spirit, which is made from the juice from the first pressing of sugar cane – by comparison, white rum is typically made from the remains from pressing sugar cane (for example molasses). Furthermore, all distillation and processing takes place according to the highest technical standards.

Pitú is known as Brazil’s national drink and the backbone of cocktails such as Batidas and Caipirinha.

Caipirinha cocktail:

1 lime, cut into thin wedges
1 teaspoon cane sugar
4 cl Pitú Cachaca
1-2 cl sugar syrup
Put lime wedges and sugar in a glass and squeeze it well so that the lime wedges release a lot of their juice. Top with Tipú Cachaca, sugar syrup and crushed ice cubes.

Cachaça is an incredibly popular spirit in Brazil, and it’s slowly starting to make an impact elsewhere. Pitú Cachaça comes from the state of Pernambuco in northeastern Brazil. It is made with pressed sugar cane juice and is allowed to sit in wooden vessels for several weeks before being bottled to reveal all the lovely flavours. Perfect for those Caipirinhas you’ve been meaning to make.
