Montecristo Moscatel Blanco Dulce 50 CL 15%

DO Navarra – Spain

In northern Spain near the Pyrenees, Camilo Castilla’s fields lie on calcareous and clayey soils. This single field wine is made from 100% moscatel de gran menudo, which is identical to ‘muscat blanc à petits grains’, the unconditionally best muscat variant. Here on the ‘wrong’ side of the Pyrenees, you have quality as in the best French muscat wines, but at a more attractive price.

The wine is cold fermented at 15 degrees to ensure a fresh fruitiness in the wine. The fermentation is stopped with wine spirits, so the wine retains its natural grape sweetness.

The low yield of ancient vines ensures an unheard of concentrated moscatel dulce, which has the grape-flavored aromas from the grape, but also honey and pineapple as well as an obesity and fullness that is not usually associated with this type of wine.

Montecristo is – unfamiliar with sweet wines – suitable for many different desserts, but try dishes with poached fruit and preferably with sorbets and ice cream.

Enjoyed chilled by. Approx. 7-9 °.

The wine contains 50 cl., Which is perfect for dinners where 75 cl is served. white and red wines, as these sweet wines are slower to use!
