Macallan A Night on Earth in Scotland 2022 has been created to celebrate Scotland’s Hogmanay celebrations. The expression has been matured in a combination of American and European oak sherry casks to create a wonderfully traditional expression from The Macallan. Bottled at 43% vol., the whiskey is bursting with flavors of ginger schnapps, figs, shortbread and plums.

Macallan A Night On Earth In Scotland, the first expression of a new annual gift series in a very limited edition, reveals the story of Scotland’s world-famous Hogmanay and captures the universal joy of celebrating the turn of the year.
Hogmanay is the name of the Scots way of celebrating the New Year. Part of Hogmanay mentions First Fooding:
First fooding is when you visit friends or family immediately after midnight to be the first person to visit them and enter their house in the new year. The very first foot – the first person who visits you in the new year – should traditionally be a dark-haired woman, and preferably as close to the New Year as possible. This brings good luck to the house if the guest wears:
A dark rye bread – traditionally given as a first gift to ensure that the people living in the house you visit do not face hunger in the coming year. First feeding traditionally also brings a lump of coal to ensure the house stays warm in the coming months and not least a bottle of whiskey
