Glenfarclas 17 Years 70 CL 43%

Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Beautiful, ambed whiskey, who begins the nose with a great touch of caramel, sweet fruit and sherry. Fed and rich in the mouth with sweetness from sherry, nice balanced and with tones from the malt. Long, soft and comfortable aftertaste, where small hints of spices play on the tongue along with the last impressions of the sherry.

Glenarclas is today one of the only remaining family owned distilleries in Scotland. The distillery, located on the river Spey in Maltwhiskyen’s home train, Highlands, was founded in 1836 by Lieutenant Robert Hay. Earth was immediately up to the cattle breeder John Grants fields, so as Robert Hay in 1865 would sell its soils to return to England, it was natural for John Grant to turn to and buy the lands and the associated distillery. It should prove to be a really good investment, and today, almost 150 years later, Glenarclas is world-renowned to produce some of the most welcoming and aromatic whiskeys in Scotland. The water used in the distillation process is retrieved in a small source that originates from Ben Rinnes Mountains – and precisely the combination of the very clean, soft water and the special shape of the Pot-Stills used contributes to GlenarClas’ unique style. When the whiskey is finished, it is stored on used dishes, which is either downloaded in the United States, where they have previously been used for storing Bourbon, or from Spain, where they have been used for ripening Oloroso Sherry. The whiskey is subsequently stored for a minimum eight years before it is released for sale.
