Fundador Solera 100 CL 40%

Brandy de Jerez – Spain

Fundador is one of the sherry triangle’s most famous brandies. The name means something in the style of “founder” – and it is well chosen, because when it was launched back in the 1870s of Pedro Domecq, it was probably the first spirits entitled “Brandy de Jerez”. It is made on the grapes Airén and Palomino, and is distilled on column boilers before storing on old sherry fade.

Color: amber.

Fragrance: A friendly and round scent of caramel, nuts, vanilla and dried fruit.

Taste notes: soft and lightly sweet taste, caramel and toffee, with a hint of espresso and walnut in the aftertaste.

Serving suggestions: Can be enjoyed clean or in cocktails.

Pedro Domecq was officially founded in 1822. They were the first producer of Brandy in Jerez, and actually Brandy is also the last thing left by Pedro Domecq today. Although for a number of years, great sherry, the company’s wine side of several laps is sold from, and when the house’s wine activities definitely succumbed, the parent company, Beam Global, their old Solera systems (which domecq had purchased from even older companies). Osborne was quick to intercept these treasures, and it is now under their flag that the legendary wines; 51-1a, Capuchino, Sibarita and Venerable, will be tapped.
