Flowstone Wild Cucumber Gin 70 CL 43%

Flowstone Distillery South Africa – Wild African Botanicals

You get a fresh, complex gin with clear hints of cucumbers and hints of kiwi, baked with classic notes of juniper.

The fruit African Horned Melon is the ancestor of our modern cucumber, grows wild in the Bushveld and delivers notes of fresh cucumber and lime. As the fruit ripens, you can also expect small, subtle notes of kiwi and green melon. The only problem is that the baboons in the area also love it, so they eat it in large quantities. The only solution so far is to plant plenty of them.

Flowers are also used from the very widespread Butterfly Bush, so called because it attracts large numbers of butterflies early in the summer. You get a fresh, complex gin with clear hints of cucumbers and hints of kiwi, baked with classic notes of juniper. It is perfect together with a pink tonic and possibly with melon or strawberry as garnish.

About Flowstone Distillery
South African Flowstone Distillery is at home in the cradle of humanity. Quite literally. Here at the tip of Africa, it is believed that the human race arose and from here spread to the rest of the world. Many, many, many years later, Flowstone Gin was born. The idea arose over a gin with wild cucumbers. The name Flowstone comes from the rock formations that help define the area, while the flavors are the wide range of local, indigenous botanicals from the bush. They are the taste of the South African wilderness.
