Compass Box Affinity is a liquor slightly beyond the usual. John Glaser, “Whiskey Maker” at Compass Box, is known to push for the framework for Scottish whiskey – but here he has blown them completely! Affinity consists of a mix of Scottish whiskey from among others Craigellachie and 37.5% Calvados from Christian Drouhin! Of course, this liquor does not belong to any official category, and therefore bear the term “Spirit Drink”.
Color: Golden.
Fragrance: Beautiful scent of malt, apples, vanilla, raisins and pears.
Taste notes: The taste is soft and elegant, filled with apples, pears and melon, but also vanilla and a touch of oak.
Serving suggestions: should be enjoyed clean as you would a good whiskey – or calvados!
