Limited Premium Aged Rum – El Salvador
Inspired by the Mayan concept of duality and creation, Master Blender Gabriela Ayala decided to showcase the duality and synergy between rum and oak, through the Cihuatáns Creación series. Gabriela handpicked 13 casks from Cihuatán’s private reserves, ranging from the classic American oak-ex-bourbon, to the unique Mayan Ceiba cask. The Selección Nórdica edition for Denmark and Sweden is a 17-year-old rum that has been finished in an ex-Cognac cask.
Aroma: Sweet and warming notes of vanilla, caramel and cooked fruits fill the nose. The scent becomes more intense when a few drops of water are added, revealing notes of burnt almonds.
Taste: Strong and intense at first with aromas of spicy oak, mint chocolate and almonds. Subtle notes of cherry-
sauce and tobacco leaves emerge when water is added.
