Chateau Ste. Michelle – Merlot Indian Wells 75 CL

Washington State (USA)

Fruit-scented Merlot that generously offers lots of jam sweetness, voluminous fullness and suppleness. The wines from Indian Wells are typically very intense, characterized by very sun-ripened fruit. Powerful, marked, almost daring Merlot with all the typical softness of the grape and straightforward sweetness. Also a grape that is eminent for creating such a lovely velor-like consistency – it succeeds nicely here and then there is an almost slightly exaggerated, but very charming vanilla touch. The winemaker himself states that it is his favorite wine for all sorts of pasta dishes, that said, then coarse salads, good steaks, carpaccio with basil pesto and simply nothing but the fireplace or terrace are definitely a hit as well. Drink it in the summer a little chilled to really experience the slightly opulent but fresh fruit. The wine consists mainly of Merlot but also contains a little Syrah.

Vinification:
Barrel aged 16 months on new American and French
fade.
Tasting notes:
Generous and affectionate charmer with very intense fruit
and velvety soft edges.
Recommended for:
Vegetarian dishes, Veal, Italian food, Beef, Grill and barbecue.
