This 16-year-old Caol Ila was released by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. Andrew Symington founded his company at the end of the 80s and has always maintained good contact with the distilleries. Today, he can call a warehouse of over 10,000 casks his own.
This bottling belongs to Signatory’s Cask Strength Collection, in which the whiskies were bottled directly at cask strength. The Single Malt was matured for 26 months in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. It is especially recommended for advanced connoisseurs. All bottles bear precise information about the distillation and bottling dates as well as the casks.
