South Eastern Australia Classic Pinot
This pinot noir doesn’t pretend to be a high-brow burgundy, but is a more immediate and price-democratic size, and Australian pinot noir like this is certainly a pleasure to get to know.
Despite Australia’s warm growing conditions, this pinot noir is a light, aromatic wine with high drinkability. Smell and taste have aromas of red berries and undergrowth, with the slight herbaceous edge that gives complexity and nerve to the wine. The tannic acid is almost completely absent, so this is a wine that can be drunk in large sips
Enjoy the wine both with bird and fish. Australians often eat salmon with their pinot noir, which is also a good combination, but the lighter meat dishes also work well with the wine.
Enjoyed slightly below room temperature at approx. 14-17°.
Burfield Pinot Noir is ready to drink now and will not gain from further aging.
