Ballechin is the powerful distillation, we have made at Edradour Distillery since 2003.
Distilled with barley, which has been infused by peat to a level of not less than 50 ppm.
This bottling is a limited edition of 3461 bottles from a valve of First Fill Bourbon Tønder and Second Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts. This is a fadan tilting of 58.9%, without cooling filtration, to preserve the true dish grade. Natural color.
The name Balleechin comes from a colleague Perthshire Farm distillery, which unfortunately closed its doors in 1927. Referred Alfred Barnard, cataloged all the distilleries in the UK in the 1880s, to have experienced a peat whiskey.
